Puzzled Together › Jigsaw puzzles with friends
Do a jigsaw puzzle with friends online
Make a room, send your friend the link, and you're both moving pieces on the same board, live, from wherever you are.
How to start, in three steps
- 1Create a roomPick a size, from a relaxed 12 pieces upward. You get a room code like lucky-panda and an invite link.
- 2Send the linkPaste it into WhatsApp, Discord, a text, anywhere. Your friend taps it and lands on the same board. They don't need an account either.
- 3Solve it togetherBoth of you drag pieces at the same time. You see your friend's cursor, and every snap happens on both screens at once.
What it's like to puzzle together
Doing a jigsaw with someone at a kitchen table is half puzzle, half conversation. One of you sorts the edge pieces, the other hunts for sky, and every so often someone finds the piece that's been missing for ten minutes. Puzzled Together is built to feel like that, just across two screens.
There are no turns. You both work on one live board, so you can split up the picture ("I'll do the boat, you take the trees") or work on the same corner. A pink outline shows which piece your friend is holding, so you don't grab the same one. When pieces snap together they move as one group, and anyone can pick the group up and move it.
The puzzle is timed from the first move, and the finished picture stays on the board for a moment so you can screenshot it together.
Pick a size for the time you have
| Pieces | Good for | Open from |
|---|---|---|
| 12 | A quick warm-up, or playing with a young child | The start |
| 24 | A relaxed few minutes while you chat | The start |
| 96 | A proper session with a detailed photo | Level 3 |
| 384 | An evening, or a few short sittings | Level 5 |
| 1,500 | A long project you come back to | Level 8 |
You level up by finishing puzzles. Signing in keeps your level, times and streak; you can play without it.
Stop and pick up later
Rooms save themselves on the server. If one of you has to go, close the tab. When you both open the invite link again, every piece is where you left it and the clock picks up where it stopped. A room keeps for 3 days after you last play, or 14 days if a signed-in player has been in it.
Phones, tablets and computers
It runs in the browser, so there's nothing to install. The board resizes to fit the screen and pieces drag with a finger or a mouse. One of you can be on a laptop and the other on a phone. A room holds two players, which keeps the board from getting crowded.
Questions people ask
Is it free?
Yes. Every mode and every size is free, with no ads.
Does my friend need an account?
No. Neither of you does. You can create a room and play straight away. If you want to keep your times and streak, you can sign in with Google after a puzzle.
How many people can play in one room?
Two. For a bigger group, open a second room, or have everyone watch one person's screen on a video call and call out pieces.
What happens if someone's internet drops?
The room keeps its state on the server. Refresh the page or reopen the invite link and you're back on the same board.
Can we use our own photo?
Yes. Once you're signed in you can turn any photo into a puzzle and play it in a room together. See photo jigsaw puzzles.
